The Future of European Tech Regulations

Even though “European tech regulations” may not sound like the catchiest subject, it is, however, an important subject within the field of tech today. The European Union is currently working on a few groundbreaking regulations, the most popular being the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). However, there are other equally important but lesser-known tech laws such as - the ePrivacy Regulation, the Regulation on Cross-Border Portability of Online Content (sounds intimidating right?) and the Regulation on Geo-Blocking that require the same amount of attention.  As a result, this talk will be focused on these of lesser-known tech laws, rather than GDPR.

Whether you are a developer, an entrepreneur in the field of AI or a cloud specialist, it’s invaluable to know which new European tech regulations apply when, why and how.

During this talk we will provide you with an overview of the latest European regulations within the field of tech and give you some tips and tricks to work your way around, followed by a Q&A. Compliance is cool, people.

This session will be with Sarah Zadeh, Junior Associate IT & Privacy at Kneppelhout & Korthals Lawyers in Rotterdam.
