Office Hours on OKRs with Google (pt. 1)
Finding the right knowledge to grow your startup is hard and time intensive. To help you grow your business, we invite experts to share their knowledge with our community. Office Hours bring you the knowledge and insights to operate more effectively by learning from the best. In these 1 on 1 sessions, you’ll be able to ask for advice on any challenges you’ve been facing.
This office hours session is with Bart Geerling and Amhar Ford: 2 long-time Googlers with a lot of first-hand experience working with the OKR framework. It is one of two follow up sessions to the OKR workshop we hosted with Google a couple of weeks ago; as such, registration is only available for those who took part in the first part of this OKR mini-series (the workshop). In this office hours, participants will have the opportunity to review the OKRs they have worked on since the initial session.
If you missed out on this mini-series, stay tuned for the next opportunity to tackle OKRs with Google.
Bart was born and raised in The Netherlands and is the oldest Amsterdam Googler, having joined almost 13 years ago. In that time, he has worked in several functions and with some of Google's largest and most sophisticated clients around the globe. Initially Bart worked on the media side of Google, later making a transition to Google's advertising technology called the Google Marketing Platform (formerly known as DoubleClick).
Amhar is Dutch-British, raised in both countries, but based in the Netherlands for the past eight years. He started at Google Dublin ten years ago as a Sales Exec in what is now Google Cloud. Six years ago he moved into a technical consulting role in what is now Google Marketing Platform. He has lived, worked, and studied in five different countries and has a Master of Science degree from RSM Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is passionate about technology, the internet and how this impacts global affairs in myriad ways.
