Interactive workshop: Dutch payroll and income tax (Postponed)

This event is postponed until further notice, as a preventative measure to keep our community safe regarding COVID-19.

Tax related issues are always a hot topic among startups and scaleups. For this reason, TQ and KPMG Meijburg & Co will be organizing a series of events to help you learn about the tax systems in the Netherlands.

This session will focus on people services, which include payroll/wage tax ad income tax related topics. Tax is one of those things that no-one likes to think about, however, when you start a business and when a business grows and you are hiring people, one of the first taxes that becomes important is wage tax, payroll administration, and maybe even 30% rulings. For this workshop, we have invited Niloefar Daliri and Floor Kuijer, People Services Specialists of KPMG Meijburg & Co, to give an introduction about people related tax.

Niloefar and Floor will cover a variety of wage tax/income tax related topics with a focus on the following subjects:

  • Wage tax/payroll tax implications of hiring employees
  • Hiring people from abroad where 30%-rulings may apply
  • How to deal with stock options from a wage tax and income tax perspective

Niloefar graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a specialization in Dutch tax law. She joined KPMG Meijburg & Co in 2013, and has over 6 years of experience advising companies and individuals on the various aspects of wage tax, income tax, and social security in domestic and cross border situations.

Floor recently joined KPMG Meijburg & Co. She graduated from Maastricht University with a Bachelor Fiscal Economics & Master Tax Law. She already has a variety of clients which include packaging businesses and oil & gas companies. Her hobbies include reading, cycling, and cooking.
