Community Meetup: #dev Software Architecture

Community Meetups at TQ strengthen our community by bringing together like-minded folks around an industry to share expertise and grow together.

This community meetup will focus on Software Architecture and is organized by TQ member, Tom Burger from Optiv Inc.

Developing and delivering a software product isn't easy. It involves a lot of time, money, and people, often wearing multiple hats. Also, defining the product, selecting technologies, and implementing decisions for the software are of vital importance. So the question is: how can you improve your chance of success?

On April 11th, TQ member and Technical Leader, Tom Burger will take the stage to share his insights on how an architectural framework could be the solution. It provides predictability, control, and vocabulary to manage outcomes. It also allows technical leaders to articulate the tech vision to engineers.

We encourage you to ask Tom for advice or share your own experience and best practices. The meetup is targeted towards Software Engineers, and Technology Leadership/Management or simply people interested in Product Development.

After the talk and Q&A, we’ll end the session with some networking and drinks.

  • 16:00 - 17:00: One hour talk by Tom Burger
  • 17:00 - 17:30: 30 minute Q&A
  • 17:30 - 18:00: Networking and drinks

  • TQ Member, Tom Burger is a technical leader in strategic software development for organizations (especially startups). Most recently, he's the technical lead for Roomware project (won a Golden SpinAwards), and the CTO and co-founder startup Mimic Media (nominated for Broos van Erpprijs 2x, Finalist TNW Rising Sun Startup Rally, Finalist Best Innovative Startup, New Venture).
